- Diverse: Som sædvanligt, når Ardbeg rører på sig, har der været masser af buzz, og særligt alderen, de ”blot” 5 år, har fået stor opmærksomhed. Mange destillerier ville måske have frigivet en whisky som denne uden aldersbetegnelse (det som kaldes ”NAS” / No Age Statement), men i stedet har man valgt at lægge fokus på, at dette er en whisky hvor Ardbegs fyrige og karakterfulde destillat ikke er skjult af fadet, men træder klart og utæmmet frem i al sin røgede vælde! Wee Beastie er tappet uden kølefiltrering.
Farve: Lys gylden.
Duft: Masser af friskkværnet, sort peber, harpiks, tjære, røg og mørk chokolade.
Smagsnoter: God power i munden, med fornemmelser af røget bacon, chili, chokolade og eukalyptus.

SOMETHING BIG AND SMOKY…
Our whisky creators set out to make the rawest, smokiest Ardbeg ever. The result is Ardbeg Wee Beastie and this tongue-tingling, beautifully smoky dram is the youngest Ardbeg we’ve ever made.
On the snout, intense aromas of cracked blacked pepper mingle with sappy pine resin and a sharp tang of smoke. Suddenly, an explosive mouthfeel bursts forth with chocolate, creosote and tar. Savoury meats sink into the palate before the long salty mouthcoating finish slinks away… revealing the inner beast of this Islay icon.
Young and intensely smoky, this is a dram untamed by age. Matured in ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, Wee Beastie is perfect for enjoying neat or as the mouth-watering main ingredient in a powerfully smoky cocktail.

Bimber Ex-Bourbon Batch 1 Bottling Note
For this limited release, London’s Bimber Distillery matured the single malt wholly in American white oak bourbon casks. This is Batch No.1 of the expression, which saw 1,948 bottles(no. 1477), each one packed full of stone fruit and creamy sweetness.
Nose: Dried apricot and vanilla buttercream, with coconut cake and biscuity malt.
Palate: Cinnamon French toast and peppery oak, alongside crisp orchard fruit and hints of peaches and cream.
Finish: Oak char, spice and dried apple.

Nose: sweet and malty with a smoky touch
Palate: rich and sweet with some smoke, fruit, malt and oak
Finish: medium to long and pretty dry with aromas of oak, banana, vanilla and cocoa

Denne nye Cask Strength aftapning fra Highland Park er lagret hovedsageligt på sherryfade af amerikansk eg, og aftappet ved 63,3%. Den er sammensat af forskellige fade med forskellig alder, og er ikke tilsat farve eller kølefiltreret.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Sweet and smoky on the nose, with hints of violets and ripe vanilla pods, among waves of aromatic peat smoke.
Palate: Rich and full bodied, with heather honey, soft toffee and freshly grated nutmeg. With more time in the glass, ripe citrus fruits come to the fore, and an exotically spiced crème brûlée finish.

Palate: Oak char and Liquorice Allsorts, with more of those berries from the nose and milk chocolate.
Finish: Caramel and clove-studded orange, with a touch of oak char.

Perhpas confusingly, anCnoc whisky is made in the Knockdhu distillery, which can be found in the Highlands of Scotland, on the edge of the Speyside region, in the small village of Knock (which is Gaelic for “Hill”, taking it’s name from a nearby conical hill that dominates the local landscape) in Aberdeenshire - Alder: 22 år

Matured predominately in American oak, ex-bourbon casks as well as Spanish oak, ex-sherry butts, anCnoc 22 Years Old displays complexity and a wealth of character but its long lasting rich, smoky finish sets this dram apart from the younger offerings.
Colour
Bright gold with a copper tint.
Nose
Sweet and spicy with notes of honey and toffee. Warm Christmas cake is accentuated by the freshness of lemons, green apples and cut flowers. All wrapped in a delicate whiff of wood smoke.
Taste
Full bodied and complex. Distinct crushed clove, raisin and blood orange flavours are at the front, closely followed by layers of fragrant vanilla and leather. The long, rich finish is smoky and spicy
